Below, there are information on our associate members of AUVSI Spain. Their suppor and cooperation make possible the improvement in the development of the unmanned systems field.

Oteros Airfield

Discover one of the best airfields in Spain located in unique surroundings, which facilitates all the activities in relation to aviation. Oteros Airfield is very close to León. It will have the biggest European hangar for indoor drone flights, and this will make it become a European reference. It has 225,000 m2 for outdoor flights. It has a track, which is 1150x24 m. Oteros Airfield is the ideal base for sector companies to establish their centre for experimentation and operations.

Embention

Embention develops UAVs’ components and complete unmanned systems to professional performance. With a high level of expertise in the control of unmanned platforms: fixed wing aircrafts, multirotors, hybrids, helicopters, surface vehicles (USV), blimps… Embention is a leading company in the UAV industry.

Flybai

FLYBAI is an enterprise, authorized by the State Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) as E/ ATO-166 FLIGHT TRAINING ORGANISATION and enterprise of AERIAL WORKS recognized internationally under the European EASA FCL Regulation dedicated to the aeronautical training for pilots and aviation services.

UAV Navigation

UAV Navigation is a privately-owned company specialized in the development of automatic pilots, flight control systems and motion processing modules used in a wide range of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) - also known as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) 'drones'.

Drotium

DROTIUM is a research project launched by the Automation and Manufacturing Institute of the University of León, whose aim is the creation of an Autonomous Transport Network with a dual-use: military and civil. To do so, we are developing a data network that allows monitoring the movements of machines, vehicles and vessels throughout Spain and its territorial waters. This will ensure autonomous driving (without pilot, driver or helmsman) while in remote mode covering small, medium and large distances.

“Fundación Centro de Supercomputación” of Castilla y León

Fundación Centro de Supercomputación is a public entity, created by the Regional Government of Castilla y León and the University of León. Its main objectives are the improvement of the research tasks of the university, the research centers and the enterprises of Castilla y León by promoting innovation actions in the world of the Knowledge Society, in the area of intensive computing, communications and in advanced services; and by contributing through technological development to the economic development of the community and the amelioration of business competitiveness.

University of León

The prestigious University of León has more than 14,000 students, of which more than 2,000 belong to the School of Engineering. It should be noted that León is the only university in the Spanish Northwest that has a degree in Aerospace Engineering.
